Many devotees, the followers of rupanuga sampradaya, Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mission are here. All of them unitedly perform sankirtan according to the teachings of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Rupa, Sanatana, Bhatta Ragunath, Sri Jiva, Gopala Bhatta, dasa Ragunath, shat-gosvami. They are the guide of this institution, this vaisnavism or Chaitanyaism. Because whatever we do, according to it we do Guru puja. And Sastra.

tasmac chastram pramanam te
karyakarya-vyavasthitau

Whatever we have to do it must be approved by our scriptures and all of the acaryas. Because ours is called Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya Sampradaya. There are four sampradayas: Sri, Brahma, Rudra, Sanaka. They are all Vaisnava sampradayas. They establish dualism. Sankara's have their own sampradaya, Advaita sampradaya. Ours is the Vaisnava sampradaya. And out of it

sri krsna brahma devarsi, badarayana samjnakan
sri madhva sri padmanabha, sriman nrhari madhavan
aksobhya jaya-tirtha sri, jnanasindhu dayanidhi
sri vidyanidhi rajendra, jayadharma kramadvayam
purusottama brahmanya, vyasa-tirthams ca samstumah
tato laksmipatim sriman, madhavendran ca bhaktitah
tac-chisyan srisvaradvaita, nityanandan-jagat-gurun
devam-isvara-sisyam-sri, caitanyan ca bhajamahe
sri-krsna-prema-danena yena nistaritam jagat

Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. And from Chaitanya Mahaprabhu it comes to Goswamis and our Krishnadasa Kaviraja Goswami and it gradually comes to Narottama Thakur, Srinivasa Acarya and Shyamananda Prabhu. And from there to Baladeva Vidhyabhusan. Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Goswami. After this unitedly our cult comes.

After Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati many, many people perform the Acarya's action. They have started their own as the followers. If they do that no harm. But they should follow all the principles and the writings and the teachings of our great, great acaryas - Svarupa Damodara, Rupa Goswami. And after Rupa Goswami it was not active for some days. Then Bhaktivinode Thakur. And through Bhaktivinode Thakur Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati. They have reestablished this system. Unfortunately they are now deviated, many of them are deviated. Of course, it is Kali-yuga. In this Kali-yuga Kali wants to destroy the unity of all the good people. They are fond of:

kanaka, kamini, pratistha baghini chariache yare, sei to vaisnava

Our Prabhupada, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Goswami said: kanaka - wealth, kamini - women and pratishta - name and fame. If we are carried away by these things… But the most dangerous one is pratistha, name. People, if he acquires plenty he may reject it. And one after he crosses his limit he can also give up enjoyment. But to enjoy his name and fame, pratistha, that none can able to leave. Ragunatha Goswami says:

pratisthasa dhrsta svapacaramani me hrdi natet
katham sadhu-prema sprsati sucir-etan-nanu manah

"O Mana! O my mind!" he informs, requests the mind: "If you are embracing pratistha woman then how can you embrace the teachings of the Supreme Lord Chaitanya and his Goswami followers? How can you?"

Due to Maya. Now all of us are influenced by Maya. Though we are influenced by maya we cannot recognize it. We cannot understand it.

avidyayam antare vartamanah
svayam dhira panditam manyamanah
dandramyamanah pariyanti mudha
andhenaiva niyamana yathandhah

Our Upanishad says avidyayam antare vartamanah. We are under the influence of avidya. Avidya is ignorance, ajnana. And we think: "No. We have got perfect knowledge". All the blind people come to dons and: "Sir, we are blind. Now you please lead us." And he is also blind. Who will lead he is also blind. Avidyayam antare vartamanah svayam dhira." I am the Supreme. I have got supreme knowledge and I acquired the mahabhagavata's condition. I am a great bhagavata. I have done penance. I have done this and I have done that. All of you must accept me as your leader! Though all of you are blind. I am also blind. I think that I have got eyesight." To wander in Kali yuga is easy. Everybody says: "Come to me. Come to me. Come to me." If you go to a market. Indian markets. Hundred markets of the same variety. They will sell it. They will say: "Come here! Come here! Come here! Come here!" Everybody says: "Come here!" The same quantity, same variety and same …(9:41 inaudible) Purchase. He will come. I will tell you. „Come here!“ No quality. It is not good. Article. Very, very fine article. Never can you see throughout the market if you go. Nobody can show you this market. "This article. It is very, very good article. I say for your good. Believe me, believe me. Take it." Thief approaching the money.

In this kali market everywhere you see: it has become business giving harinama. "You come here. You come here. You come here. Now come here! I am born to take you all to Vaikuntha or Goloka. I am born. I will not die. I am born. I request all of you to come." But Mahaprabhu said:

jare dekho, tare kaho krsna-upadesa
amara ajnaya guru hana taro ei desa

Mahaprabhu told him that whomever you come across you tell hari-katha. Bhagavat-katha. Krishna-katha. (11:23 inaudible)You will be in my followers list. I will preserve your men. This is how one who can increase numbers then he is a best philosopher and he can able to do and help all those who are blind. He can do it. Naturally we are blind. Only the blind man can say that I am not blind. A man who has got eyesight, he cannot say "I am blind". No. Those fellows who have no eyes, they say: "We have got perfect eyesight." Those who have got perfect eyesight they also say: "We have got perfect eyesight." But from whom can you choose of the two? Whom can you chose? You must choose only those who have eyes and they say: "This is the path“.

All the blind people want to see the elephant. They went to the elephant. Hundreds. All of them stand touching the trunk. 5 people, 10 people touching the trunk seeing the trunk or the tooth or the tail of the elephant. Touching the ears of the elephant. Touching the legs of the elephant. Four legs. For each leg ten people say: "This is that". Then all of them in one voice say: "Yes sir! We have seen! We have seen that.“ But a perfect man who has got perfect eyesight says: "Yes, I have seen". Then whom? The majorities decision you would follow or a single man's decision you will follow? People, they say. Hundreds of people say: "This is elephant". Whatever they say you must accept it because they have seen. A man who has less eyesight - he has never seen. Now such people are here. Fools rush where angels fear to tread. Fools. Fools. They are coming forward. Running, running, running. For nothing. For angels they think: "Are we eligible to go there? Can we approach that place?"

All of us here are the children of the Lord. We are all brothers. In our original form we are all jivatmas.

dehino 'smin yatha dehe
kaumaram yauvanam jara
tatha dehantara-praptir
dhiras tatra na muhyati

This body is the physical body. And mental and physical. And inside it that is called dehi is atma. As long as the atman stays here I see, I walk, I laugh, I weep, I talk, I go by aeroplane, I go by train and so on. My boyhood passed away. Then I was a youth. It has passed away. And now old age has come and I may die. So what is the death? Death is to whom? Is death to the soul or death to this gross body? Death is only to the gross body. But the soul is eternal. Then we are in our clear position - svarupa. We are clear that this is the truth that was explained in vedas.

amnayah praha tattvam harim iha paramam sarva-saktim rasabdhim
tad bhinnamsams ca jivan prakrti-kavalitan tad- vimuktams ca bhavat
bhedabedha-prakasam sakalam api hareh sadhanam suddha-bhaktim
sadhyam tat-pritim evety upadisati janan gaura-candrah svayam sah

How can we realize the truth? We can realize it through sadhana. There are two types of jivas - mukta-jivas and baddha-jivas. We are now baddha jivas. We can understand our real nature and real figure and real formation through devotion. Devotion, cultivating.

bhaktis tu bhagavad-bhakta-sangena parijayate

Bhakti can be developed through the association of a pure bhakta. Who is the pure bhakta? Name pure bhakta! A pure bhakta wants only the service for service. He is doing the service of the Supreme Lord. He always wants to do the same service. As a man, as a beast, as a bird, as an insect, as an inanimate object he is compelled to do his service. But now, when we forget that service, the maya is very closely watching this and Maya caches hold of that body and he will be thrown into prison. He will have no independence. He will have no proper knowledge. Now whatever he does, he does all the activities which are not necessary. Thereby he develops his prarabdha. This prarabdha can be destroyed through Harinama-sankirtana. In Kali-yuga:

harer nama harer nama
harer namaiva kevalam
kalau nasty eva nasty eva
nasty eva gatir anyatha

This harinama, from whom he must learn? He must learn it from a pure soul, a Mahabhagavata. He must inform him. And through his advice he will cross this dark ocean, the maya ocean, tumultuous ocean, and gunamaya ocean. Then he can be free and when he is free then he will realize who is he.

Sanatana Goswami asked Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu: "Mahaprabhu, who am I?". When one comes to a Guru he must ask so many questions. But, no. First question is that he wants to establish himself. Who is he? Who is he? That he does not know. "Oh Lord, please tell me who am I." Never you have heard such a question. You can ask identification of others. "Who is he? Who is he? Who is he? Who is he?" But regarding me I must ask whom? You must ask a Guru or a spiritual master. He must reveal my form by giving a proper answer. Then Mahaprabhu said: "You are prime minister of Hussein Shah. You have controlled the empire for many years. Now the emperor is indebted to you. He doesn't want to be away from you. He doesn't want to leave you. Though you wanted to leave the emperor, the emperor said that "if you resign then my empire will be ruined. You must be here. You cannot go." Because he wanted to go away.

raja more priti kore emor bandhana

"Raja loves me. That love only destroys me and I will be in a jail. In a prison." He was sent to a prison. And from the prison he gave 7000 golden coins to the jail superintendant and went to Mahaprabhu at Kasi. His muslim dress was removed and then he has taken babaji-vesam. He become a babaji. Babaji. Then he was not taking food from one place. Madhukari. Madhukari. One day, when he was starting madhukari, he asked Mahaprabhu: "I have a great doubt. Till now, though I was a prime-minister and have done so many things, I have not known what to do and what action can give me real happiness. That I do not know.“ Then Mahaprabhu said:

jivera svarupa haya krsnera nitya dasa
krsnera tatastha sakti bhehabeda prakasa

Jiva is eternally the servant of Lord Krishna. Due to his marginal stage sometimes he goes up, sometimes he comes down. All baddha jivas, if they do good activities they will go towards heaven and if they do anything wrong they will come down. One day he may be a king, another day he may be a robber, another day he may be in a prison, another day he can be a dog, he can be a cat, he can be a tree. Many births he has to take and till the end of his births it will take him million of years. Now fortunately if a jiva, a soul, comes under the shelter of a realized soul, or a bona-fide soul, or a bhakta, or a devotee, or a pure devotee then his advice will destroy all the ignorance of this fellow and then he will become pure and free from bondage. Now he will return to a place:

yad gatva na nivartante
tad dhama paramam mama

Therefrom he need not come back to this world. That is parama dhama.

But now this is Kali-yuga. We read many types of books. We meet many types of people. We see so many places, so many sceneries. And so many thoughts we hear. We cannot able to stabilize it. Because we have no such strength. No such strength. The best way is that we must surrender. Rupa Goswami says: "Surrender, surrender, surrender." And this surrender is of six types:

anukulyasya sankalpa pratikulyasya varjanam
raksisyatiti visvaso goptvrtve varanam tata
atmaniksepa karpanya sad anga saranagati

Six types of saranagati. That saranagati we have to practice. And who will teach us? The Lord to whom we serve, offer ourselves and surrender. We dedicate ourselves to one who can destroy my doubts. If we were highly qualified or if we are fortunate then only we can come in touch with those who posses bona-fide, unalloyed devotion. And he can help us. He can help us. He is always merciful.

kabe jibe doya, hoibe udoya,
nija-sukha bhuli' sudina-hrdoya

A devotee, or a sadhu, or a vaisnava. He is not for himself. He is only to help all the jivas, fallen souls. He is very kind. Very much compassion he possesses. That compassion helps all the jivas, fallen jivas. And through his help they can reach that stage.

In this subject we should be constituted and instituted by all self-realized souls or dedicated souls or those who have submitted themselves to the Lord. Then only we can return to our original stage where there is no difference between the souls. Innumerous souls. The soul of the north pole and the soul of the south pole. What one repeats other accepts. And in return you will get the message. The same word, the same subject they repeat that time. And those who are in the western hemisphere, those who are in the eastern hemisphere - all they are one. All they are one. Their aim is one.

But now those who are ignorant, our aims differ. That is why you cannot unite. If the aim is one … . This sort of Mahaprabhu's sankirtan, he says:"all of us unitedly do sankirtan." Sankirtan. If the aims are different then there can be no unity. So aims must be not there. Free of aims. One must be humbler than a blade of grass. How?

trinad api sunicena
taror api sahisnuna
amanina manadena
kirtaniya sada harih

He who never comes to border of this education of devotion he is always angry. And not only angry; he is arrogant. He is arrogant. He doesn't want this. He wants to be great always. A man who wants to be great should be humble. A humble man can be great. That was taught by Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and all the acaryas. If we don't follow that, like worldly subjects and worldly parties and worldly people combined together. Here one fellow says: "Ho! Ho!", other fellows says: "Ha! Ha!". This is how we are moving in this world. (laughs)

Now very carefully we have to follow the teachings of the Lord.

Now it is getting... sun. We'll stop.
