We are in the darkness. We are blind. Our capacity of seeing or realizing or understanding is not there. So, if some medicine, that ointment they apply to the eyes then the eyes brights. It will be cleared. The blindness of these eyes will go. So we have got our eyes. We cannot claim that we are blind. But regarding the God, regarding the nama-sankirtan and regarding guru and vaisnavas. Guru, which is master, spiritual master, and vaisnavas; those who have taken mantra or diksa, they are vaisnavas. Now, today, with all sinecerity and devotion you have offered your prayers and prostrations to the guru and the vaisnavas were congregated, united and did sankirtan. You have joined this sankirtan.
naham vasami vaikunthe
yoginam hrdayesu

mad bhaktah yatra gayanti
tatra tisthami narada
"Oh, Narada." The Lord said to Narada: "Narada, naham tishtanti vaikunthe. I will never stay in Vaikuntha". Where is that Vaikuntha? Vaikuntha is beyond 14 worlds. There are fourteen worlds. Down seven and up seven. Bhuloka, bhuvarloka, svarloka, maharloka, janaloka, tapaloka, satyaloka and atala, vitala, talatala, rasatala, mahatala, patala. Seven adho loka. And Vaikuntha is not here. Vaikuntha is not in Croatia. But, if all the bhaktas united do sankirtan with all sinecerity "I will stay." "I will come." Now the Lord has come to you if you are sincere when repeating namam and doing dancing and singing. Because, Lord says these words:"I am not in the heart of yogis." "Where are you?" "Where my devotees sing my glories, sing my name. There I am. I will stay there." Now, he is staying here. He has stayed here because the process you have adopted: guru, vaisnavas and the Lord. You see the guru or vaisnavas and with vaisnavas You will be there. Though I have got eyes I cannot see you, because I am in darkness. Because my eyes are blind. I am blind. I have no capacity to look, to see. What is it? Blindness. What is that blindness? agyana. agyana, agyana, I have no perfect knowledge. Perfect knowledge, imperfect knowledge. Whatever you will see in this world is imperfect knowledge, imperfect eyesight, imperfect all my organs. So when they are perfect, when they are pure, when they are unmixed then I will see the Lord in each and every soul. And I can see when they are doing sankirtan I will be with them. I will be with them and they will feel. When Mahaprabhu, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in Nadia, he started sankirtan and his brother not that one father but Nityananda is elder and his age was little old and then Chaitanya. Nitai - Chaitanya. Nitai is Balarama and his brother Krishna. Wherever they go the Balarama and Krishna they play. When they were in Vrindavan, they were in Vrindavan for many, how many days? For fourteen, twelve years. Twelve years. So daily they used to destroy demons. Played, they played. So, Nitai or Balaram is more powerful. He can act, Krishna may consider, but when Nityananda see that this person should be helped, purified. In vrindavan and in Navadvipa, Mayapur, when Nityananda and Haridas, both were asked by Chaitanya Mahaprabhu to go house to house

He said you two should go to every house, every door and ask them, “we have come to your door to beg you bhiksya.” The begging is bhiksya. What do you want? Money. What ? Cloth? Food? Or what? We want you bhajo krishna, koro krishna siksa. We want you to repeat namam. Hare Krishna namam. That is our begging. We beg you to repeat namam. We don't want money from you nor we don't want any gold from you or food from you nor cloth from you. We want you that you take a wow from today that we will repeat namam. I will say Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare. That is our alms. In Europe and America there is no alms because they never ask anybody with money. But it is in India. From the ancient days a brahmacari up to 24th year when he is in Gurukula he is learning. A Guru will teach him and he should go and beg alms of them all and bring it and give it to Guru. The Guru will cook, guru's wife will cook and it will be distributed to all the students. And they also take it. And then they will teach them every moment. While walking, while talking, while doing anything. They should. A Guru's order. Guru need not order. Guru when he wants that it should be done, then the disciple will go, no front words, and say I will do it. And those who are not advanced, they should be told to do this. And those still, they are dumb, like, they will be punished unless you do this. So this is a third class or fourth class servant. First class servant, without speaking he will realize what my Guru wants from me. They will go up and do the service. But those days are gone. You will never find in India nor you find in... there is no guru seva here in this. Now you come in contact of our cult, then you were taught. First guru, first spiritual master prayer and then krishna chaitanya prabhu nityananda advaita gadadhara srivasadi gaura bhakta vrinda. They are the five type of devotees. One Mahaprabhu, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. He divided himself as a devotee, the form of a devotee, and incarnation of a devotee, and a devotee and energy of devotee. Who is that? Chaitanya and Nityananda. Chaitanya is the servant and Nityananda he is the real form of servant. And then Advaita is incarnation of Vishnu and then comes Gadadhar pandit. He is the energy. Just like in Dvapara yuga Krishna's energy was Radhika, the confidential. And reverential in Dvaraka. In Dvaraka is with the wife Rukmini, Satyabhama. Rukmini or Satyabhama, yes. So they are the form of this, this Gadadhara pandit. And now it is a tough subject, now we will realize slowly repeating namam sincerely. Now you must repeat namam. And you must do service. If any service is needed your elders will come to you and say you please do this. He will do. He should do. Because this is an institutional service. If he doesn't do service, he is unfit to be in the devotional path. Service is wanted. Not that should bring money from outside. No. All service. Here we are sitting, suppose a scorpion has come. What will you do. You must get up and see that it is removed from there. It is your duty. You should realize it. And suppose when you distribute food, you forgot to distribute salt, little salt. Now one will come say yes, you will put that salt in. Everything. No water. You have very, every this, here this, water this. These are the essentials of service. And deities, when we come, when the deities are there, my friend, first I must offer my prostrations to the deities. If I wear any shoes it must be removed. And even the cloth also. But in cold countries very difficult. It is in India. You must remove the clothes. With one cloth. But in this country you cannot be naked(laughs). Because you cannot. It is very cold. Like this.
Now, harinam kirtan. You should do harinam kirtan. Those who have take harinam or diksa, compulsory, compulsory they should do 25000 namam daily. 25000 namam was how many? Two hours. Three hours? Two hours. And the rest 22 hours you can use. But namam one must do it in this two hours, do harinamam. But nowadays, everybody if asked how much namam you do? "I do sixteen rounds." No, no. He is not doing even one round. You see, they will be showing others “Hare krishna”. But the namam, they will carry their namam (showing japa going up and down quickly). Shows. No ………. And walking, hand ... And doing. No harinama. He never repeats harinama. Only in inside, nobody can see. …., nobody wants. So this is not a show. Cheating others that you are a devotee! Why don't have tilakam. "Oh, we had come. And they will find fault with us so ... " No. No. Tilakam must be always there. The police constable this must be. When he is not in duty he may have different types of clothes, but when he is in duty he must have that dress and symbol must be there. The police. People will be afraid, the wrongdoers will be afraid "Oh he is a police." Like that, we must have the symbol. Harinama. It is not a difficult one. You put like this. It is very easy. Because you never do it you are in difficult position. If you do it always no... So, all these things, minor things, those we consider everybody knows, but nobody follows. Mahaprabhu says, and he asked Nityananda and Haridas. "You go daily. Throughout the day you should go and tell, carry my order that everybody should do harinama kirtan. And those who accept, those who abuse, those who do ... you should come in the evening and tell me the result. Then Nityananda and Haridas are going. Nityananda advances and Haridas follows. Some householders are there, they say, they are good, they say: "Yes we will do it!" And there are some fellows, rouges, they are saying: "You fellows ask. You have no other work. Only you survive on this food, or bhiksya for live’s collection for foods collection you come". Says "You don't come. And then if you come we will beat you." Whatever they say it is reported to Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in the evening. One day Nityananda said to Haridas: “Mahaprabhu's order that we should go and ask all people. Why only people we do? They should have some strong faith.” There were two rowdies, burglars, smugglers, drunkards. Two brothers that came out from Brahmin's family. Jagadananda Madhyopadyaya and Madhavananda Madhopadyaya. Brahmins. But young. No marriage. No house. Always with liqueur pot with them. Wherever they go, they drink and dance. If nobody gives anything they will beat him. Everybody is afraid of them. Nityananda told to Haridas: “Haridas, you go to good people, anyhow they will say we will do. No. No. Those who have no faith, those who were against the rules and regulations of the society, those who beat anybody, kill anybody and throw these people into the fire........” When they are in the streets nobody comes to them. They will be hundred yards away from them.....................But drunkards. Full of drink. Whatever they want they take. ”We should try.” Then Haridas said “No! No! If you go there there are also two brothers. They will kill us. I will never follow you. If you want you can go.” And he directly went to Mahaprabhu and told “Mahaprabhu! Nityananda. I never follow Nityananda. He doesn't ... He now says to these burglars, the drunkards. He says unless I purify you and why should I take the order of Mahaprabhu. No. Mahaprabhu must purify them first.” The drunkards. 24 hours they drink. “And now when they come ...after them. They will .... and go away. So, like that.” Now, Nityananda prabhu went to them and says: “(verse 25:55haridasa ....rama.......)You see this what you drink. Harinamam is more effective and there will be very charming moment. You please do harinam. And you this as long as we have got this force of that liqueur he will be one stage and when it clears, but harinamam will never leave you. And you will feel more happy. More happy. It has got charming, attract you to do and see Krishna.” Then he went and said this, Jagai stood up and took that liqueur pot: ”Fellow, who are you!?” He said: “I am avadhuta. Avadhuta”. A big pot, very big pot with two hands he threw on the head of Nityananda. Jagai has done that to Nityananda. Now blood came out. Blood. But Nityananda said: “Yes. You have done this. You have no common sense. You are not under your control. Under the control of the liqueur you have done this. I don't find fault with you.” Now, he caught hold of him. “Immediately repeat Krishna”. Then he said: “Krishna!” That one word he uttered and immediately repentance came to him. “I have committed big offense at your feet. I have done this. That offense, my brother also has done this. Both we are sinners. And now I realize why have I beaten you. You have done no harm to us. Why did I do this? Please excuse me.” “I excuse. You repeat namam and dance.” Yes, then immediately he repeated namam. Then Madhai was excused by Chaitanya. He saw Madhai. Madhai was ordered by Chaitanya to go to Nityananda. Now he came. Mahaprabhu asked “Both of them should be carried to my house.” In their house for three hours they were performing sankirtan. Three hours. All the vaisnavas and Jagai and Madhai both. After that they were purified. Purified. Now Mahaprabhu said: “You come to the Ganges shore and you clean the places of bathing ghats. Bathing places are there, your duty is to clean those two ghats. And you will get sufficient food. We will send it. You do harinamam. And to whomever you come across you should beg: “Sir, please excuse us. Please excuse me. I have committed offense at your feet, knowingly or unknowingly I don't remember, please.” All. Thousands of people they come. Everybody he begs for excuse. How? When these two brothers became the devotees, the whole area, whole ... Navadvip, nine islands, there is nine where Mahaprabhu's performance and Nityananda prabhu's performance was clearly understood by the public. They say: “They are not human beings. They are demigods. Otherwise how can they make these robbers, drunkards, and they are now purified. If they purify such drunkards they are not humanly, they are extraordinary and they are all demigods, devatas.” Devatas are called demigods. Since then nama spread, harinama, everywhere. And Muslim king was there. A Muslim king says, came one day and saw all people are doing harinam. Then he stopped. He broke the mridangas. Nobody should .... nobody. United. Two people or three people united and do sankirtan. Now they cannot survive. The devotees say: “How can we survive without sankirtan?” He says: “No one. Nobody should do sankirtan here. If you do I will send my military and take you to jail.” But all these devotees, they asked Mahaprabhu to see what is the remedy now. Because the government is a Muslim government. It doesn't allow us to do sankirtan. What can we do? And Mahaprabhu, he said: today and ... that you all lit one light lamp in hand. Light in hand. Come. Lots of people came and sankirtan started. Mahaprabhu and Nityananda marched first. They followed them. They reached the house of the Kazi who has destroyed this mridangam. Now he closes doors. Never comes out thinking that he will be killed. But this magistrate, he opened the door and invited only Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Nityananda – nobody else. What is the matter? You have ordered .... destroying these mridangam. What is the remedy now? See all are doing namam. Why cannot you control that? He said: Sir, under there when I destroyed mridangam and went home in the night I was sleeping. In the dream you both are coming and say: fellow you have destroyed my mridangam and Nrisimha, Nrisimha Swami came and he says: “You fellow” He sat upon my chest. “ I will tore you. Why is that you have destroyed mridangam and stopped the sankirtan?” Then I said: “No sir! From here, today onwards I will never do such offense again. I will never do any offense. Please excuse me.” So he was excused and allowed to wrote, that in my family, not I, my children, my children's children, in our dynasty nobody will stop sankirtan. This is how sankirtan was spread throughout India, Navadvipa. All of us must read the life of Chaitanya and we can understand what is this towards the public. He has done great service to the public by offering namam Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare. He says: “I tell you that this is maha-mantra.” Mantra is om narayanaya namah. This om is the bijam or the seed. And namah is namaskar. Bija and namah or svaha – both. The meaning of those two is that: “I offer myself to you, oh Lord. Let me, let me be placed by you so that always I will do harinamam.” Mahaprabhu did that. And he said maha-mantra Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, harinam:
kahilan ei mahamantra; iha japa giya sabe koriya nirbandha
iha haite sarva-siddhi haibe sabar sarva ksana bala ithe vidhi nahi ara
ki bhojane ki sayane kiba jagarane aharnisa cinta krsna balaha vadane
While sleeping, while taking bath, while taking food always you repeat namam. Always. No other thing. No other activity you should have. You may have your own evocation, so many, so many. So many duties you have to do for your belly's sake and for your family's sake. You can do it! But the tongue doesn't do that. Tongue repeats namam. To take bath – tongue repeat namam. You go and sat in the latrine – that tongue has nothing to do with it. And .. will clear the stools and urine will be cleared, also. While that you need not stop repeating namam. No. Always. Sarvaksana bolo iti Mahaprabhu ordered: all the moment without spending even a second for other things you repeat namam. Hands are working, legs are walking but tongue is not doing anything while. Always. Always you repeat namam. Always. Yes. Your tongue will be purified. Then why should – the arcan will be kept without any action. You should be given action to do namam. And when you have got rest. You can inspite of sleeping ...

It is yoga. Whatever the food you take, quantity – less or more. If the food is more above normal then indigestion, less normal .... you will become lean and thin. So not more, not less. Balanced diet. Balanced diet. Balanced, everything balanced. Talking balanced, singing balanced, walking balanced, ... balanced. Everything balanced. If too much today tomorrow you won't do anything. If today you sleep more then tomorrow you will have no sleep. Nothing. A man wants four hours, only six hours of sleep. Not more than that. Anyhow our time should be utilized in repeating namam.
